Born and raised in the DMV, Stephanie Crawford is an alumna of Spelman College, where she studied Documentary Filmmaking and Film Studies.
Her short documentaries have premiered at festivals nationally and internationally, including the Academy Award-qualifying Doc Edge Film Festival in New Zealand. Her thesis film, Unpacked, won the New Orleans Film Society South Pitch in the Student Documentary category.
Currently, she works at PBS as a Senior Program Associate in General Audience Programming. where she facilitates the post-production and delivery process of PBS programs.
She also has interned at Monkeypaw Productions in their development department.
She aims to create narratives centering on Black women and partner with other creatives to elevate the voices of underrepresented communities.
